VectoIDS is an arcade-style shooter in which you control a spaceship, avoiding colliding with oncoming asteroids and destroying them to reach a new highscore.
About
VectoIDS was created in July 2019, written in pure JS.
Inspired by Atari Asteroids, the game features much of
the similar gameplay of Asteroids, with added components and features.
- Ability to invert colours
- Ability to turn sounds and / or music on / off
- Display the current time taken to clear the level
- Display the accuracy of the player, their shots taken and shots hit
- Ability to pause the game
- Multiple input options
- Hyperspace
Controls
Controls can be seen when running the game on the homepage and selecting the header "About/Controls" which is on the top left of the screen. The ship can also be controlled on this homepage if you need to get used to the controls.
How to play
To play the game simply press the "Run game" button, then once the game has loaded in fullscreen, click on the "Play" button in the middle of the screen.

Hi! I enjoyed the simplicity of the game. Sometimes less is more. Maybe you should try adding the movement of the spaceship
Hi! Thanks for this, the movement of the spaceship can be controlled using your keyboard.
Please see the controls which I posted on the controls section before you click the "Play" button.
Make sure you click the window so that it will take your input before you can use the keyboard.
